We teach a traditional Japanese Karate. The parent style is Chito Ryu.
A student will acquire essential skills after only a few classes. It takes many years to master Karate but important lessons are learned every step of the way.
It takes 3 plus years for an adult to attain Black Belt level, and longer for children. You cannot attain your full Black Belt until you are a minimum of 16 years old, although younger students may become Junior Black Belts at an earlier age.
A popular myth is that karate is violent and promote aggressiveness. To the contrary, karate subdues the overly aggressive, hyperactive child and draws out the more passive, introverted child. This also pertains to adults.
You can start training at any age. We have entire families training with us, and everyone works at their own level. We never push anyone past their limit.
